Max Merlin offers the DEFENDER, a compact and effective non-lethal self-defense weapon with a laser target pointer. It uses both traumatic and flashbang cartridges, and can also be equipped with signal and illumination cartridges for crisis situations. The DEFENDER features a folding bundle of four partial chambers and a bed breech made of durable steel cartridge cases with an electric primer. It has a central extractor for cartridges and an auxiliary sight in the form of rifling on the upper side of the cartridge chamber. The weapon does not have a safety catch, making it easy and quick to use.
